About Painted Tales

Painted Tales began with a simple wish: that the bedtime stories children love could star the people they love. Not a generic hero with a swappable name — but their own little family, painted with care into a proper picture book.

Every Painted Tales book is hand-painted in soft watercolour, the kind of warm, gentle artwork you'd want to linger over at the end of the day. Behind the scenes we work hard on one thing above all: consistency. A character should look exactly like themselves on page one and on page twenty — same face, same curls, same wellies in the snow. That care is what makes a collection of pages feel like a real storybook rather than a set of pictures.

Stories are built around your family. You create your characters once, and they're yours — ring-fenced to your account and woven into whichever tales you choose. Finished books gather in your private library, ready for storytime tonight and for years of re-reading.
