This is a plain-English summary of how Painted Tales handles your information. It's a starting draft and will be finalised before public launch.

What we collect

When you create an account we store the details you give us — your name and email, and the characters and stories you create (names, descriptions, and the artwork generated for them). We also keep basic technical logs needed to run the service.

Your characters and stories are private

The characters and books you create are tied to your family and are not shown to other users. We don't sell your content, and we don't share it except where needed to provide the service (for example, sending a story prompt to our image-generation provider to paint a page) or where required by law.

Children's information

Painted Tales is intended to be set up and used by a parent or guardian. Please only add details about a child that you're comfortable storing, and that you have the right to provide.

Cookies

We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and to keep the site working. We don't use them to track you across other websites.

Your choices

You can edit or delete your characters and stories at any time, and you can ask us to delete your account and its data. Get in touch and we'll help.
